About the role

Estia Health are looking for a Health Informaticist based out of our Sydney CBD office. This role requires some travel across our network of homes though the majority of supporting and educating can be administered online. This is a critical role in our organisation, supporting the implementation of corporate health information strategies such as the quality indicator program.

This role interacts with Quality Business Partners to deliver performance data, trends, and guidance for risk mitigation and quality improvement, analyses data for evaluation of quality performance and provides assessment of data integrity and drive corrective actions where issues are identified.

As a Health Informaticist the role will provide in-house expert support to the quality, risk and operations managers by:

  • Providing technical information technology (IT) education for health and care related systems
  • Provide some help desk support in conjunction with the IT team
  • Support the implementation of the corporate health information strategies such as the quality indicator program
  • Support the corporate workflow management reporting system
  • analyse data for evaluation of quality performance.
  • Provide assessment of data integrity and drive corrective actions where issues are identified
  • Work with the Quality Business Partners to deliver performance data, trends, and guidance for risk mitigation and quality improvement

About you

You'll bring to the role your energy, your passionate and caring nature and you will have:

  • Previous experience in a health information management role from a clinical or organisational perspective
  • Experience managing health data by analysing, producing reports and maintaining data integrity
  • Ability to work independently and travel across our network of homes
  • Exposure to enhancing a health management system (Health Metrics ideal)
  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing or health information management
  • Health Informaticist qualification required
  • Ability to engage and adapt to different stakeholders and audience groups
