About the role

The Regional Support Manager will be passionate about providing quality clinical care and customer service. This leadership role is critical to the success of the region as we work to transform and position ourselves as a care provider of choice in an increasingly resident driven market.

This is a holistic role focused on leading improvements and efficiencies, working strategically across the whole business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as an effective support conduit between on-site Residential Aged Care Managers and Corporate Head Office functions.
  • Drive achievement of all Facility compliance standards such as Accreditation, WHS and Hospitality Standards.
  • Support Residential Aged Care Managers with management of financial KPIs, commercial reporting around occupancy, recruitment, AN-ACC and workforce requirements.
  • Supporting Residential Aged Care Managers to manage financial results within non-wage costs (e.g. medical and catering expenses).
  • Lead and support with SIRS reporting and investigations.
  • Implementation and monitoring of non-clinical initiatives and standards.
  • Successfully support and lead teams through change management processes.
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of care home staff through complex processes.
  • Builds positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a customer centric focus.
  • Support Residential Aged Care Managers to resolve resident, family and consumer feedback.
  • Represent the region at quarterly state WHS Meetings.
  • Support the Regional Manager with key operational role recruitment.
  • Lead projects / Support sites throughout the region.
  • Support homes with COVID/Outbreak response.
  • Provide on call support to Home leaders per the Escalation procedure. 
  • Consistently demonstrate and role-model a high performance, outcome-focused approach.
  • Contributes to business strategic planning as required.

 

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading and driving successful change implementation across aged care.
  • Proven track record in successfully driving and achieving aged care accreditation standards across multiple sites is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a proven ability to lead change and improvement in an environment of ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service and possesses a consistent customer-first approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic operational plans and strong track record of driving change and compliance.
  • Exceptional team building skills, including the demonstrated capability to build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders to prioritise workloads and manage high value projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of funding, health/aged care national policy and regulation that affects growth.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of quantitative data and qualitative data, highly developed analytical, communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Keen passion for promoting positive resident outcomes
