About the role

The National Health and Safety Manager role plays an integral role in leading and supporting the Health and Safety Business Partners and our operations to create a culture of care, implement the Work Health and Safety (WHS) management system across the organisation and provide expert advice to the broader Health Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) team and senior business leaders.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Leadership experience to be able to lead and develop a team of six business partners.
  • Extensive experience in safety in a large organisation, with a proven track record in delivering effective HSW programs and driving results (Healthcare or similar industry experience is desirable, but not essential.)
  • a solid understanding of WHS legislation across multiple jurisdictions and demonstrated experience in self-insurance an advantage.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and insights, alongside experience in preparing executive papers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
