About the role
The Procurement Category Specialist is responsible for the delivery of value through development and implementation of procurement category strategies, with a focus on business partnering and driving end to end, Source to Contract procurement projects across the group.
We are looking for a Procurement Category Specialist to drive the creation and implementation of key strategic procurement initiatives across the Estia Health business.
Please Note: This is a 12-month fixed term contract , with the potential for permanency subject to business needs. You’ll enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, spending three days a week in the office.
Key Accountabilities
Act as the first point of contact for procurement enquiries, supporting and training end users on Estia Health’s systems (ARM & Coupa).
Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers, running end-to-end RFx (tender) processes, negotiating contracts, and securing favourable terms.
Partner with stakeholders to manage budgets, control costs, monitor supplier performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Assess and mitigate procurement risks while ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
Build strong stakeholder relationships and analyse supplier markets to support strategic procurement planning.
About you
You’ll bring enthusiasm, a caring approach, and a passion for making a difference, along with:
Experience and Skills
3–5 years’ experience in procurement (Procurement Officer or Category Specialist level).
Background in aged care, medical services, or a similar commercial environment.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Sound knowledge of procurement processes, regulations, and best practices.
Experience using Coupa, ARM, or similar procurement systems.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Strong financial acumen, commercial awareness, and customer focus.
Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and assess supplier performance.
Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management.
Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
Desirable
Tertiary qualifications in procurement, purchasing, business, supply chain, or logistics.
