About the role

Estia Health Kangaroo Flat is located in regional Victoria, just 10 minutes from Bendigo’s city centre and is known for its friendly atmosphere and strong connections with residents and families. Surrounded by local shops, cafés and parks, the home offers a convenient and community-focused place to work. Purpose-built with modern single rooms, bright communal spaces and beautifully maintained gardens, it provides a comfortable and supportive environment for both residents and team members. With a dedicated Memory Support Unit, engaging lifestyle programs and a strong focus on personalised, high-quality care, Kangaroo Flat is a rewarding place to grow your aged care career close to home.

We have opportunities for qualified and experienced Personal Care Workers (Nutrition) to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis working a range of morning and afternoon/evening shifts. 

Every individual in our homes has a story. You’ll get to know each one as you act as a hands-on carer supporting our residents during meal times, assisting with meal selections and ensure meals meet individual care plan requirements. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping residents enjoy safe, positive, and social dining experiences and support residents with feeding where needed and promote independence where possible. 

  • Lend a hand with daily life – making sure our residents feel heard, comfy and well-fed.
  • Work with our team to support those with challenging needs.
  • Help keep our residents’ bodies and minds active.
  • Keep tabs on our residents’ health – helping with treatments 
  • Be a friend to our residents.
  • Make sure every resident’s privacy and dignity is respected.

You’ll be a true team player and great communicator, with:

  • A certificate III or IV in Aged Care *mandatory
  • Experience as a Carer within a Residential Aged Care home
  • Ability to work a variety of days and shifts
  • A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
  • Solid clinical documentation and computer skills
